tfishell: I thought it could be nice to have a thread recommending games that are on-sale to people. Consider sharing YouTube footage links and the discount amounts / prices too.

(I'll certainly continuing editing this later...)

Besides Pajama Sam Vol. 1 (and Vol. 2 to a lesser extent) of course...
Serious Sam First and Second Encounter -85% / .89 USD - sweet pure-action old-school fpses
Unreal Gold -70% / $2.99 (unless you already own it from when it was given away) - very atmospheric fps with good soundtrack
SiN Gold -75% / 2.49 - pretty good fps, less action than Serious Sam
Tomb Raider 1-3; Last Revelation + Chronicles; Angel of Darkness (I'm biased in favor of AoD b/c of nostalgia and fixes I applied recently) -75% / 2.49 - fun atmospheric third-person action-adventures
Redneck Rampage -66% / 3.39 - great goofy fps
Medal of Honor: Allied Assault -75% / 2.49 - great (though aged) ww2 fps
Gex -75% / 1.49 - fun but difficult (imo) platformer
Red Faction -75% / 2.49 - decent fps in an interesting setting with deformable terrain
Carmageddon 1 and 2; -50-60% (not fantastic deals but decent) - fun gory racing games where you try to squish people instead of race
Great list, and I also recommend some including:

SiN: Great multiple paths setup leading to different levels/sublevels sometimes depending on choices(one being the stuff you shoot at the level start of the first level), usable terminals with stuff to type in, fun levels/areas, etc.

Redneck Rampage: Very un-PC and risque take on the deep south/southern culture, with lots of great music/enemies/levels.

Unreal Gold: Great scifi FPS with some beautiful environments.

Red Faction: Another great scifi FPS with some fun to be had blowing chunks in the walls/etc(though to be fair most of it is rock walls...metal/etc isn't usually affected) and various ways to get through levels and reach each level end.

Serious Sam: Great FPSs with silly humor and weird/fun enemies/over the top stuff to see and do(like some choice easter eggs to find).

I will add my own as soon as I go through the thread/reply some more.

dtgreene: For anyone who would have bought that Wizardry title that GOG rejected and that was delayed at the last moment:

I recommend Elminage Gothic; it's basically a Japanese Wizardry spin-off, just without the Wizardry name. It also has a lot of content (I believe I played over 100 hours and didn't beat the final bonus dungeon because the combat was too difficult).

(There's also Mary Skelter: Nightmares and Serment - Contract with a Devil)
I will be looking into Elminage...thanks for the suggestion.

Darkwood - It's a survival horror game set in a weird horror setting based on an 'evil wood', with 'tree-based horror elements' like trees absorbing people and the like. It's a deeply unnerving game but thankfully without any cheap/jump scares.
The story is phenomenal as well, but it's told in an indirect way (with a kind of cosmic-horror element). It's in a sense spread about the game world and it's your job to piece it all together. From this point of view the game world is masterfully put together. For example, one early location is just a burned out house with some loot, but if you pay attention then later you'll realize that a young girl you learn about grew up in that house, based on some crayon drawings of hers you discover.
The game world is absolutely filled with connections such as these, making it a game that properly rewards you for paying attention.

Majesty - Any RTS fan not averse to the fantasy setting should enjoy this. In particular RTS fans that don't like a lot of micro. You build a base, but you don't control heroes directly. Instead you place bounties on monsters and give rewards for exploration. Said enriched heroes then go to spend their hard earned gold at the facilities that you provide, such as alchemy shops and armorers. Which in turn makes the heroes even stronger so that they can take on stronger and stronger foes.
It's a weird concept, but Majesty pulls it off brilliantly. The campaign is open ended, with essentially a big world map full of missions of various difficulty grades. So kind of a bunch of scenarios really, though iirc you might to complete some to unlock others.
Alright, it's time for a good ol' switcharoo!
Can somebody tell me more about the Textorcist? Is it worth a buy? Does the shmup/ typing game mix work well? I mean, typing while evading bullets seems pretty tough.
I've seen a few gameplay videos, but they don't really help me decide.
Any help is appreciated!

I haven't played it, but did you notice there's a free demo on GOG? Just try it out yourself! :)

I honestly didn't see that, thanks! :D
Honestly with the BEAMDOG D&D Sale I would recommend to get everything there for just ~30€
