Please, go here and download the original (and freeware!) game: it's as difficult as Ghouls 'n' Ghost used to be, but you will surely enjoy it. :-)

I heard of this game and one/two others from the developer (Locomalito), but I never got around to trying them. Guess I'll fix that.

The original game (Maldita Castilla) is still freeware and you can download it here.
Maldita Castilla Ex, the enhanced and extended commercial version, was released yesterday on Steam.

It's kind of weird to think of Locomalito's games being sold considering his freeware philosophy, but he does such good work I'll be happy to pay for his stuff :) He's more than earned it.
